The University of Hertfordshire welcomes students from Nigeria. On joining the University, you will become part of a student community of 23,500 undergraduate and postgraduates which in 2005-6 included 2,600 international students from over 85 countries. Our goal is to ensure that your time at UH is as enjoyable and successful as possible. We therefore provide a range of services designed for international students including an airport welcome and transfer service for those arriving within specified dates, pre-sessional and in-sessional English Language support, a week-long free Orientation Programme, guaranteed accommodation and dedicated support throughout your studies from our International Student Advisors.
Entry Requirements
The entry requirements for students from Nigeria are as follows.
Undergraduate
All undergraduate degrees normally require successful completion of a foundation year. Please contact us to check your qualifications or consider our International Foundation Programme or an HIBT pathway.
Certificates/Diplomas/Higher National Diplomas
Entry requirements vary according to level and grade. Students with these qualifications may be considered for second or final year entry.
Postgraduate
All Master’s degrees normally require successful completion of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area at a level equivalent to a UK second class Honours degree.
English language
Master’s degrees within the Business School normally require:
- 6.5 IELTS/237 TOEFL (or equivalent), or
- 6.0 IELTS/ 213 TOEFL (or equivalent) plus completion of the University’s four week pre-sessional English course.
All undergraduate and other Master’s degrees normally require:
- 6.0 IELTS/213 TOEFL (or equivalent)
